Compressed sensing with linear correlation between signal and measurement noise

چکیده
Existing convex relaxation-based approaches to reconstruction in compressed sensing assume that noise in the measurements is independent of the signal of interest. We consider the case of noise being linearly correlated with the signal and introduce a simple technique for improving compressed sensing reconstruction from such measurements. The technique is based on a linear model of the correlation of additive noise with the signal. The modification of the reconstruction algorithm based on this model is very simple and has negligible additional computational cost compared to standard reconstruction algorithms, but is not known in existing literature. The proposed technique reduces reconstruction error considerably in the case of linearly correlated measurements and noise. Numerical experiments confirm the efficacy of the technique. The technique is demonstrated with application to low-rate quantization of compressed measurements, which is known to introPreprint submitted to EURASIP Signal Processing December 16, 2013 ar X iv :1 30 1. 02 13 v3 [ cs .I T ] 7 N ov 2 01 3 duce correlated noise, and improvements in reconstruction error compared to ordinary Basis Pursuit De-Noising of up to approximately 7 dB are observed for 1 bit/sample quantization. Furthermore, the proposed method is compared to Binary Iterative Hard Thresholding which it is demonstrated to outperform in terms of reconstruction error for sparse signals with a number of non-zero coefficients greater than approximately 1⁄10th of the number of compressed measurements.

Frames for compressed sensing using coherence
We give some new results on sparse signal recovery in the presence of noise, for weighted spaces. Traditionally, were used dictionaries that have the norm equal to 1, but, for random dictionaries this condition is rarely satised. Moreover, we give better estimations then the ones given recently by Cai, Wang and Xu.
متن کاملA Block-Wise random sampling approach: Compressed sensing problem
The focus of this paper is to consider the compressed sensing problem. It is stated that the compressed sensing theory, under certain conditions, helps relax the Nyquist sampling theory and takes smaller samples. One of the important tasks in this theory is to carefully design measurement matrix (sampling operator). Most existing methods in the literature attempt to optimize a randomly initiali...
متن کاملMeasurements vs. Bits: Compressed Sensing meets Information Theory
Compressed sensing is a new framework for acquiring sparse signals based on the revelation that a small number of linear projections (measurements) of the signal contain enough information for its reconstruction. The foundation of Compressed sensing is built on the availability of noise-free measurements. However, measurement noise is unavoidable in analog systems and must be accounted for. We ...
متن کاملShannon Theory for Compressed Sensing
Compressed sensing is a signal processing technique to encode analog sources by real numbers rather than bits, dealing with efficient recovery of a real vector from the information provided by linear measurements. By leveraging the prior knowledge of the signal structure (e.g., sparsity) and designing efficient non-linear reconstruction algorithms, effective compression is achieved by taking a ...
متن کاملA Reconstruction Algorithm for Compressed Sensing Noise Signal ?
The novel theory of Compressed Sensing (CS) reduces the samples of compressible signal sharply by information sampling. In order to improve reconstruction accuracy of noise signal for CS, a Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) noise signal reconstruction algorithm is presented in this paper. This algorithm decomposes the random measurement matrix, modifies the diagonal matrix Eigen values by mean...
